Tuscarora WoodWorks

Art. Craft. Community.

Our tagline embodies what we are all about here at Tuscarora WoodWorks: art to express ourselves, craft to sustain ourselves, and community being our foundation. Supporting our community is extremely important to us and we work hard to be a valued part of the Tuscarora Community.

When one our fellow community members reached out to us with an offer to collaborate, we immediately said yes! We are extremely excited to introduce a collaboration with Bradley Thomas. Bradley is member of the Tuscarora Snipe clan and an accomplished Epoxy Artisan. In addition, he holds a Master of Forestry from SUNY ESF and a BA in Communications from Canisius College. Bradley's love of wood and the forest is readily apparent from just talking to him.

We are extremely excited to see where this collaboration takes us and we invite you to take the journey with us. Bradley's work is exceptional and would make a great addition to your home or a memorable gift for a loved one. These pieces are one-of-a-kind so you will receive the actual piece as listed. If you have any quesitons, please email us at info@tuscarorawoodworks.com

Little River Epoxy Charcuterie/Cutting Boards

The black cherry (prunus serotina) or É·riʔ in Tuscarora, is one of my favorite trees because of all the gifts it provides for many forms of life. The gift to woodworkers is this beautiful grain that only becomes more defined as time goes on. The É·riʔ used for these boards was non-commercially harvested in the town of South Wales, NY and then kiln dried in Lewiston, NY. Each piece of wood tells a thousand stories with its tree rings that indicate the years of growth here in WNY.

Every time I pour an epoxy river, my mind is always on the mighty and powerful Niagara River. I like to imagine the powerful swirls and unique topographic structure that created this natural wonder then try to capture that in each board. My color selection is unique to how I felt during the time of making each individual board.

This board can be used as a modern furniture piece that can be displayed until use. It is perfect as an authentic and thoughtful gift.

All the materials used are locally sourced and handcrafted. These boards are food grade and ready for use. Do not leave in direct sunlight or place any heating elements on the epoxy.
