Description
Made from solid maple and precision-engraved with original artwork by Tuscarora Artist Murisa Printup, these cutting boards are sure to standout in your kitchen! The design is of the Haudenosaunee Tree of Peace with an integrated Hiawatha Belt. When the Peacemaker joined the Confederacy together under the Great Law, he assigned the Great White Pine to symbolize this newly-developed peace agreement. On the top of tree sits an eagle, watching over the peace to ensure any disruptions are discovered early. The weapons of war are said to be buried beneath the tree as the member nations would no longer fight with one another but instead would use the principles of the Good Mind to address conflict.
Care
Hand-wash only, do not soak. Cut on the side opposite to the engraving.
