Description

Made from birch wood with engraved Hiawatha belt design. The Hiawatha belt is the national belt of the Haudenosaunee. It symbolizes the original 5 nations: Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, and Mohawk. The extended lines at the end of the belt represent room for additional nations to be taken in, such as the Tuscarora. The Tuscarora were the 6th Nation to be accepted into the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. Posts are surgical steel.
